Camden Vicinage Recovery Court to Celebrate Graduation

The Camden Vicinage will celebrate the graduation of nine participants from its recovery court program on Tuesday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at the Camden County Hall of Justice, Assignment Judge Steven J. Polansky announced today.

Superior Court Judge John S. Kennedy will preside. Richard LoRusso, New Jersey State Police Operation RISE recovery advocate, will give the keynote address. Graduation speakers also include Assistant Camden County Prosecutor Greg Audino, First Assistant Deputy Public Defender Frank P. Trosky, Assistant Deputy Public Defender Rachel Carlson, and members of the Recovery Court Alumni Association of Camden and Burlington counties.

The Judiciary's recovery court program, which addresses nonviolent, addicted offenders, requires completion of phases of intensive drug and alcohol treatment and recovery while under court supervision.

The vicinage's recovery court program, which began in 1996, has 516 participants and has graduated 1,141 participants.

The event will be held in courtroom 63 of the Hall of Justice, 101 S. 5th St., Camden.
