Sioux Center Hy-Vee Employee Honored for 40 Years of Service with Picture on Semi-Trailer

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa (July 22, 2026) - The helpful smile of a Sioux Center Hy-Vee employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to recognize his 40 years of service at Hy-Vee.

Tom Van Voorst's picture was unveiled Wednesday during a celebration at the Sioux Center Hy-Vee, where he serves as the frozen department manager.

Hy-Vee first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997, and it has since become a cherished tradition at the company.
