New Hires on The Athletic’s Visuals and Data Team

Jasmine Cui is joining us amid a career spanning data, technology and journalism. After a stint at Home Depot, where her work "saved accountants a lot of time," Jasmine switched to journalism, working for three years as a data reporter for NBC News. There, she developed the NBC News Home Buyer Index and reported on other subjects, including economics, AI and climate. Most recently, she has been contributing to AI research at MIT; we're excited for her to apply those skills here, as a graphics developer. Jasmine currently lives in the Boston area. She starts June 15.
