Resmed at ERS 2026: Advancing Sleep Apnea Care Through Research Across the Therapy Journey

Studies examine long-term PAP outcomes, personalized approaches to care and new technologies that could help identify obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) earlier

London, September 1, 2026 - Resmed (NYSE: RMD, ASX: RMD), the leading health technology company focused on sleep, breathing and care delivered in the home, today announced it will present new research at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress 2026, offering insights into how obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) can be identified and managed, and the factors associated with long-term therapy engagement and health outcomes.

Among the research being presented Sept. 5-9 in Barcelona, Spain, one study found that each additional hour of nightly positive airway pressure (PAP) use was associated with a lower risk of death among people with OSA. Additional studies explore how wearable technology could help identify people at risk for OSA at scale, female-specific approaches to OSA screening, and factors associated with long-term therapy engagement and outcomes.

Resmed researchers and international experts will present 14 studies at the congress, including two late-breaking abstracts.
