Gov. Braun, ISP Protect Hoosier Kids From Online Predators
INDIANAPOLIS - After a year that resulted in the arrest of 499 individuals for crimes against children, the rescue of 126 children from ongoing abuse, and the receipt of thousands of new investigative tips, Indiana Governor Mike Braun is emphasizing the ongoing success of the Indiana State Police's initiative aimed at protecting Hoosier children from online predators and abuse.
The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has been an emphasis of Gov. Braun's administration and has experienced significant growth in order to better protect Hoosier children. From January 2025 through February 9, 2026, the ICAC Task Force has increased by 50 individuals from 470 to 520 law enforcement officers.
"Nothing is more important than keeping Hoosier kids safe. Indiana State Police are building on their success last year saving children from abuse and putting child predators behind bars," said Gov. Braun.
Through the ICAC Task Force, Indiana State Police and their local partners were able to put hundreds of child predators behind bars in 2025.
The ICAC Task Force provides tips for parents with a focus on safe social media practices, parental controls, and how to report abuse. More information can be found here - https://www.in.gov/isp/icactf/parenting-tips/
