H.E. Mr. Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Vice-President of ECOSOC and Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN, took part in ECOSOC consultations with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group

On 19 February in Washington, H.E. Mr. Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Vice-President of ECOSOC and Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN, took part in ECOSOC consultations with the IMF and the World Bank Group on follow-up to the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development.

In his remarks, Ambassador Hovhannisyan underscored the importance of translating commitments into concrete action - strengthening de-risking instruments, expanding local currency lending, and mobilizing impact-driven finance that effectively reaches developing countries, including landlocked and many middle-income countries facing structural constraints like Armenia.
He stressed enhanced UN - Bretton Woods coherence to advance the Financing for Development agenda.
