Back-to-School Drive Benefits Dinuba & Porterville Students

In support of Child Support Awareness Month (August), the Tulare County Department of Child Support Services (TCDCSS) has teamed up with Valley Strong Credit Union to hold its 2nd Annual Back-to-School Drive benefiting students in Dinuba and Porterville. The Back-to-School Drive will run from July 1, 2025, through July 30, 2025.

The second-year event is collecting school supplies for students in first through sixth grade attending Wilson Elementary in Dinuba and Alta Vista Elementary in Porterville. Donation items being accepted are:

  • Backpacks
  • Pencils
  • Color Pencils / Crayons
  • Erasers
  • Composition Notebooks
  • Rulers
  • Scissors
  • Pencil Boxes

Donations can be dropped at the following locations throughout Tulare County:

  • TCDCSS, 8040 W. Doe Ave in Visalia
  • TCDCSS, 259 N. Main St in Porterville
  • Valley Strong Credit Union, Dinuba Branch, 1245 W. El Monte Way in Dinuba
  • Valley Strong Credit Union, Porterville Branch, 745 N Newcomb in Porterville

Tulare County Department of Child Support Services (TCDCSS) goal is to collect and distribute child support. TCDCSS is 66% federally funded and 34% state funded. None of the funding is provided by the county; however, services are administered by the County.

TCDCSS establishes parentage, locates missing parents, establishes and modifies support orders, enforces orders by collecting and distributing support payments, maintains accounting records for money owed and distributed, and establishes and enforces medical, dental and vision care.
