LaHood Invited to Participate in the White House Task Force for the World Cup 2026

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Darin LaHood (IL-16) - co-chair of the Congressional Soccer Caucus - participated in the first meeting for the White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026.

"I was honored to participate in the first meeting for the White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026," said Rep. LaHood. "Over 39 days, 104 matches will be played, and over 10 million fans will travel across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. President Trump's White House Task Force on the FIFA World Cup 2026 will provide much-needed leadership to streamline an unprecedented level of coordination between our federal agencies to set our country up for a safe and successful 2026 World Cup. It is critical that federal, state, and local agencies and officials are equipped with the resources they need to enhance security efforts, modernize travel processes, and invest in the necessary improvements in technology."
