Upcoming Planned Roadwork for Northeast Missouri, August 24 - September 4, 2026

HANNIBAL - The following is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northeast Missouri region for the next few weeks.

All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.

Adair County

Missouri Route 3 - September 2, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Stukey Cemetery Trail and Kohlmyre Trail near Millard between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Audrain County

U.S. Route 54 Westbound - August 24 - 27, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from Route D to CR 956 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Lewis County

Missouri Route 6 - August 24 - 26, LANE RESTRICITON for patching operations from U.S. Route 61 to Route K at Labelle between 7:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily.

Lincoln County

Route Z - September 2, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Long Road to Perks Road near Whiteside between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route Z - September 3, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Kuntz Road to Route HH between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Macon County

Route O - August 24, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Route OO to Ironwood Avenue near Bevier between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route O - August 25, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Ironwood Avenue to Route AX near Bevier between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route O - August 26, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from Route AX to Illinois Street near Bevier between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Marion County

U.S. Route 61/24 Eastbound - August 31, LANE RESTRICITON for patching operations from CR 406 to Business Route 61 near Palmyra between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

U.S. Route 61/24 Westbound - September 1, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from Missouri Route 6 near Taylor to CR 310 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Monroe County

U.S. Route 24 - August 24 - 27 & August 31 - September 3, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work from CR 857 to Route JJ between 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

U.S. Route 36 Eastbound - August 24 - 25, LANE RESTRICTION for culvert replacement operations from east of CR 381 to west of Business 36 near Monroe City between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Montgomery County

Missouri Route 161 - August 24 - 27, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work from Deves Road to Route CC between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Missouri Route 161 - September 3, CLOSED for culvert replacement from Tower Road to Haflingers Road between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Pike County

Route PP - September 1, CLOSED for culvert replacement operations from CR 323 to CR 328 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Ralls County

Route O - September 3, CLOSED for shoulder work at the intersection of Route O and Dow Trail between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Route HH - August 27, CLOSED for shoulder work west of Big Creek Road to east of Trabue Lane between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Scotland County

U.S. Route 136 Westbound - August 24, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from CR 461 continuing west one eighth of a mile between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

With an increased number of highway work zones in Missouri, we urge all drivers to pay attention every second while driving, especially through a work zone.
