WSU to host Thursday sendoff concerts for Washington Ambassadors of Music

On Thursday morning, July 9, there will be a special concert behind Bryan Hall Theatre on the lawn as well as inside Kimbrough Concert Hall as part of the sendoff festivities for the Washington Ambassadors of Music program.

The Washington Ambassadors of Music program features faculty and students from all over the state of Washington. Students were recommended by their teachers to participate in this event which will culminate in a 15-day European tour that starts on July 12. The concert on July 9 is the result of a four-day/three-night camp held on the WSU Pullman campus to help prepare for the upcoming tour.

The on-the-lawn concert at 10 a.m. features the Washington Ambassadors of Music Jazz Band and Concert Band.

The 11 a.m. concert in Kimbrough Concert Hall features the Washington Ambassadors of Music Concert Choir and Orchestra.

The concert highlights WSU School of Music Faculty Members Danh Pham and Matthew Myers as conductors.

Pham also serves as the director of the WA Ambassadors of Music Program.
