ICYMI: Credit union leaders still have time to sign open letter to Congress

There's still time for credit union leaders to join their peers in strong support of the credit union tax status by signing an open letter to Congress. The deadline to add your signature is Wednesday, May 21.

America's Credit Unions organized the letter to provide credit union presidents and CEOs with an opportunity to both thank lawmakers and reinforce the need to keep the credit union tax status out of the budget reconciliation bill as it moves to a potential House floor vote this week.

The credit union tax status was secured in the House Ways and Means Committee's section of budget reconciliation, and with the House Budget Committee passing the bill Sunday night, it heads to the House Rules Committee.

House leaders will receive the letter in advance of a floor vote. America's Credit Unions will update on exact timing as the process continues. Today, May 21 is the deadline to show your support.
