Amata’s New Year’s Message

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Uifa'atali Amata released the following message for New Year's Day.

"As I reflect on 2024, I'm grateful for God's goodness to my family, our territory, and the United States. From a congressional standpoint, we finished up some important efforts. Among those, we can be especially thankful for passage of a raise for our military making 2025 better for their families, including the historic 14.5 percent raise for our junior enlisted ranks, which includes many of our Toa o Samoa. In the year ahead, I will continue to work with dedication to make sure we are not just an afterthought in Washington as we start a new year, a new 119th Congress, and working with a new four-year administration. We have many reasons to be optimistic, and I'm enthusiastic about what the new year will bring. May God bless and guide your steps in 2025 as you plan and pray for your goals and families."

Psalm 65:11 (NIV) "You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance."
