The trial court ordered J.F. to be involuntarily committed at the St. Vincent Stress Center. J.F. appealed, but her involuntary commitment ended before the appeal was fully briefed. The Court of Appeals dismissed her appeal, finding it moot. In the Matter of the Civil Commitment of J.F. v. St. Vincent Hosp. and Health Care Ctr., 222 N.E.3d 1020 (Ind. Ct. App. 2023), trans. pending. J.F. has petitioned the Indiana Supreme Court to accept jurisdiction over the appeal.
