On September 30, 2025, in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of Transport Week, the VII International Transport and Logistics Business Forum "New Silk Way" took place.
In a teleconference format, the President of the country, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, addressed the forum participants, giving a start to the Kazakh-Chinese railway section Dostyk-Mointy, which is an important link in Eurasian transcontinental transport routes.

The key theme of discussions with the participation of ministers of transport from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkey was "Greater Eurasia: challenges and opportunities in the context of global changes, including international transport corridors." Prospects for the development of international transportation and logistics were also discussed, including issues of multimodal and digital solutions, the introduction of artificial intelligence into global transport systems.
The development of transport is one of the most important areas of cooperation among the SCO countries; at the same time, the creation of efficient and sustainable corridors serves as the foundation for strengthening interconnectivity across the Organization's space.
