New Mexico Family Action Movement (NMFAM) announces recipients of their Freedom Champion Award

December 4, 2025 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New Mexico Family Action Movement Honors Five Legislators with 2025 Freedom Champion Award Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico Family Action Movement (NM FAM) announced that five New Mexico legislators received the organization's Freedom Champion Award at its Legacy Dinner on December 3. This year's honorees are Representatives Rebecca Dow, Jenifer Jones, and Rod Montoya, and Senators David Gallegos and Jay Block. The Freedom Champion Award is NM FAM's highest recognition for public officials who demonstrate uncommon courage in service to New Mexico families. The award honors leaders who "have gone above and beyond to defend faith, protect families, and stand for freedom," not simply through their votes but through the way they lead - speaking truth when it's unpopular and standing firm when it costs them. "These leaders have shown what principled service looks like," said Jodi Hendricks, Executive Director of NM FAM. "They haven't wavered in their commitment to New Mexico families, and they've worked tirelessly to safeguard the values of our communities. It was our honor to recognize their courage." The Legacy Dinner brought together pastors, local leaders, and families from across the state, celebrating NM FAM's expanding impact and the partnerships that sustain its work. Hendricks added, "New Mexico faces serious challenges, and strong leadership matters. These Freedom Champions step into the arena with integrity and resolve. Their work strengthens families and strengthens our state."
