Most City offices, including City Hall, will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday. Emergency services will be available as usual.

Solid waste services. There will be no residential collections (garbage, recycling, yard waste or bulk) on Dec. 25. If your normal collection day is on Thursday, your pickup will be shifted to Friday; Friday service shifts to Saturday. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday collections will operate on their normal schedules. All residential collections will resume normal schedules on Monday, Jan. 5.

All residents are allowed two extra bags of garbage next to the cart on their first pickup day following Christmas.

The City's four Drop-Off Stations and the Environmental Collection Center will be closed Dec. 25 and reopen Dec. 26.

Animal services: North Animal Campus and Chuck & Brenda Silcox Animal Care & Adoption Center will close at 4 p.m. Dec. 24. They will be closed Dec. 25. Both Hulen and Alliance PetSmart Adoption Centers will be closed Christmas Day and open regular hours Dec. 26.

Libraries: All Fort Worth Public Library locations will be closed Dec. 25.

Recreational amenities: On Dec. 24, community centers close at 6 p.m.; Haws Athletic Center and Sycamore Community Center close at noon; and McLeland Tennis Center closes at 3 p.m. On Dec. 25, all recreational amenities will be closed. Log Cabin Village is closed Dec. 24-25.

Water utility: To access the Water Department's automated system for payments and account inquiries or to report an emergency, call the 24-hour call center at 817-392-4477.

Mass transit: On Dec. 24, no bus routes will leave from Fort Worth Central Station after 7:15 p.m. Trinity Metro On-Demand Paratransit: Last passenger pick-up will be at 7:15 p.m. On Dec. 25, Trinity Metro bus and Trinity Metro On-Demand (including paratransit) will operate on a modified holiday schedule. Trinity Railway Express (TRE), TRE LINK and the CentrePort Shuttle will not operate. Customer Support & Solutions team members will be available 5 a.m.-5 p.m. at 817-215-8600. The ticket sales kiosk at Fort Worth Central Station will be closed.

City Council: The next meetings of the Fort Worth City Council will be on Tuesday, Jan. 6. A work session will be held at 1 p.m. and a public comment meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber.
