DSHA, FHLBank announce 2025 Home4Good grants

$1.51 million in funding will support homeless services in Delaware

Wilmington, DE - On Tuesday, December 16, the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh (FHLBank) announced that $1.51 million in grants has been awarded to 17 nonprofit organizations to support initiatives in Delaware that lead to stable housing for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or determined to be at-risk of homelessness.

Home4Good grants in Delaware are supported by the following FHLBank member financial institutions: Artisans' Bank, Community Bank, Community Powered Federal Credit Union, Del-One Federal Credit Union, LINKBANK, PNC Bank, National Association, Santander Bank, N.A., and Stepping Stones Community Federal Credit Union.

Home4Good was established by FHLBank and has been combined with DSHA funds to combat homelessness with the support of FHLBank member financial institutions. The funding is distributed as grants to organizations that help individuals retain or find housing, provide supportive services, and address other unmet needs within the existing homeless provider network. Home4Good is one of several ways that FHLBank partners with its members to provide needed funding and support communities.

"Housing insecurity and homelessness are two of the most pressing challenges facing our state. The Home4Good program, and the ongoing commitment from FHLBank and its members, provides critical resources to nonprofit groups working to fix the problem," said DSHA Director Matthew Heckles. "These partnerships are essential to ensure we can help those most in need find and maintain stable housing."

"Our 2025 Home4Good contribution includes $875,000 from FHLBank, provided in cooperation with our member financial institutions, in support of Delaware organizations supporting our unhoused communities, and those who need housing assistance,' said David G. Paulson, President and CEO, FHLBank. "DSHA has been an important, long-term partner in both funding and administration of this program."

The funding will be used by the 17 organizations through 26 programs to address five key areas: homelessness diversion, homelessness prevention, rapid re-housing, re-entry, and innovation.
