China Coast Guard successfully transfers 17 Filipino crew members rescued in waters near China's Huangyan Dao to the Philippines

Since January 23, China Coast Guard has consistently organized relevant forces to conduct search and rescue operations after a foreign cargo ship capsized in the waters near China's Huangyan Dao. To date, 17 people have been successfully rescued, two of which ended up losing their lives. Four individuals remain unaccounted for.

Upon the request of the Philippine side for on-site search and rescue vessels, under the unified organization and command of China Coast Guard's Dongsha ship, the Dongsha ship, the Sanmen ship and the Philippine Coast Guard vessel 9701 successfully completed the handover of personnel in the incident area at 14:43 pm on January 25.

In response to the cargo ship capsizing, China Coast Guard immediately dispatched vessels to provide humanitarian assistance to the distressed crew and will continue to organize relevant forces to conduct search and rescue efforts.
