February 11, 2026
Rosewood Miramar Beach, a premier resort set along one of the world's most exclusive coastlines, has been honored for the third consecutive year as a Five-Star property in the 2026 Forbes Travel Guide Star Ratings. The resort also received Five-Star recognition for Sense, A Rosewood Spa, as well as its MICHELIN-awarded restaurant, Caruso's. This distinguished accolade reflects the resort's exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and world-class amenities.
"We are deeply honored to once again be recognized by Forbes Travel Guide as a triple Five-Star destination for the third consecutive year. This distinction is a direct reflection of the passion and dedication of our entire team, whose unwavering commitment to exceptional service and memorable experiences continues to set a global benchmark for luxury hospitality," said Corinne Verdery, Chief Executive Officer of Caruso. "It stands as a testament to our relentless pursuit of delivering the world's most elevated and refined experiences."
Each year, Forbes Travel Guide's team of professional inspectors travels the world to anonymously visit and evaluate hotels, restaurants, and spas based on 900 rigorous criteria, awarding top honors to properties that excel across the board. Recognition from Forbes Travel Guide continues to be an industry benchmark and one of the most trusted accolades by consumers. In addition to recognizing Rosewood Miramar Beach's status as one the country's best luxury resorts, this latest accolade further cements the property's standing as a premier wellness and culinary destination.
"A third consecutive Triple Five-Star recognition from Forbes Travel Guide is a powerful affirmation of our vision for Rosewood Miramar Beach." said Philipp Posch, Executive Vice President of Hospitality at Caruso. "It underscores our unwavering focus on thoughtful luxury, intuitive service, and creating experiences that resonate long after our guests depart."
This marks the sixth consecutive year that Sense, A Rosewood Spa at Rosewood Miramar Beach, has earned this coveted award. The spa's team of wellness experts has crafted a serene retreat for guests, offering distinctive treatments inspired by the local environment and indigenous traditions. Continuously introducing new initiatives, the spa strives to meet the evolving needs of its visitors. With a focus on providing the most restful experience possible and prioritizing sleep as part of overall wellness, treatments include a unique massage with wild sage, mineral-rich salts, pine, and juniper, along with an Undaria Seaweed ritual designed to stimulate the nervous system and support longevity. This dedication to understanding consumer trends and meeting industry demands sets Sense Spa apart.
For the second time, Caruso's, the resort's MICHELIN Star restaurant, has also been honored with a Forbes Five-Star rating. Perched above the Pacific Ocean on the American Riviera, Caruso's showcases Coastal California cuisine with contemporary Italian leanings, featuring the highest-quality ingredients sourced from the region's rich agricultural landscape and local waters.
The restaurant is led by Massimo Falsini, Caruso's Executive Chef and Partner, who says, "Receiving a Forbes Five-Star rating is a meaningful honor, and one that reflects the collective passion and dedication of our entire Caruso's team. This recognition would not be possible without our talented colleagues and exceptional purveyors, whose commitment to quality inspires everything we do. I'm incredibly proud to see Caruso's recognized among California's finest restaurants and grateful to Forbes for celebrating the depth and diversity of the state's culinary landscape."
"We are incredibly proud to be named a triple Five-Star resort in the 2026 Forbes Travel Guide," said Philip Meyer, Regional Vice President Rosewood Hotels and Resorts. "Since opening our doors, we've been dedicated to creating memorable experiences through outstanding service, refined amenities, and a breathtaking coastal setting."
Caruso's prioritizes sustainability through a wide range of initiatives, sourcing 100 percent of its seafood from responsible fisheries and earning recognition as an Ocean Wise, SeafoodWatch, and Smart Catch Ambassador, alongside a Three-Star Rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association's Food Made Good Standard. Executive Chef and Partner Massimo Falsini is also a member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Blue Ribbon Chef Group and an Ambassador for Project Zero's Coral Collective, supporting efforts to protect threatened coral reefs.
On property, Caruso's maintains an onsite apiary, utilizes Zero Acre and algae-derived oils, and operates in-house food-waste systems including the Power Knot Biodigester and Enzyme Eater, converting waste into environmentally safe grey water and helping reduce the restaurant's carbon footprint by more than 200 tons annually, a 53 percent decrease from its baseline output. Deepening its agricultural connection, Caruso's also cultivates its own farm in Buellton and recently began harvesting olives and pressing estate-grown extra-virgin olive oil, bringing stewardship full circle from soil to plate.
Among its newest initiatives is a zero-waste bean-to-bar chocolateprogram, producing chocolate in-house to reduce environmental impact. Using cacao sourced from select Hawaiian farms, the team roasts, mélanges, tempers, and molds every component, from bars to cacao butter and tea, ensuring nothing goes to waste. The results are featured on Caruso's tasting menu through a curated selection of single-origin chocolates and blends paired with carefully chosen whiskies or wines.
