Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu Attends Iran's National Day Reception

On February 9, 2026, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu, upon invitation, attended the National Day reception hosted by the Embassy of Iran in China and met with Iranian Ambassador to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.

Miao Deyu extended congratulations on Iran's National Day and stated that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Iran has achieved significant progress. The year 2026 marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of China-Iran diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Iran. China is ready to work with Iran to implement the common understandings reached by the heads of state and promote greater development of friendly cooperation between the two countries. As the world today is undergoing both changes and turbulence, China is ready to work with all parties, including Iran, to uphold multilateralism, oppose unilateralism and hegemony, reject the use of force to exert pressure on other countries, and jointly safeguard the international system with the United Nations at its core.

Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli expressed gratitude for China's valuable support in Iran's path of national development, stating that Iran looks forward to deepening cooperation in various fields on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Iran appreciates China's upholding of justice. Iran will continue to firmly defend its legitimate rights and interests, and is willing to work with China to jointly uphold international fairness and justice.
