A New Way for West Jordan to Reach You—Your Way

A New Way for West Jordan to Reach You-Your Way

We all have our favorite ways to get information. Some people love texts, some prefer emails, and some still like a good old-fashioned phone call. How we communicate is always changing, and the City of West Jordan knows that one method doesn't work for everyone. That's why we've teamed up with Yoppify, a communication tool designed to reach residents in the way that works best for them-whether that's text, email, phone call, or even traditional mail.

What Is Yoppify?

Yoppify allows the city to share important updates with residents anytime, without requiring you to be tech-savvy or active on social media. Instead of relying on just one platform, this tool gives us multiple ways to connect with you.

For example, if a road is scheduled to close overnight due to construction, not everyone will see a social media post or be signed up for city emails. With Yoppify, the city can notify only the residents in the affected area, using the contact information already tied to their utility account.

How You'll Receive Messages

Yoppify uses the phone number and email address connected to your utility bill:

  • If you have a text-enabled phone number, you may receive a text.
  • If texting isn't set up, you'll receive an email instead.
  • If email isn't available, you can receive an automated phone call-on a mobile phone or even a landline.

This system can be used for community updates, service disruptions, and emergencies, ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time.

How to Participate

To get the most out of this new service, we encourage residents to update their contact preferences. This allows you to:

  • Add a text-capable phone number
  • Choose how you prefer to receive messages from us

Update your preferences here:

Please note: If you reply "STOP" to a text message, the city will no longer be able to contact you by text-even in emergencies.

Avoiding Scams

We know scams are a concern, and we want residents to feel confident about official city messages.

Legitimate West Jordan messages will only come from:

  • 801-290-8910 (text messages)
  • 801-569-5000 (voice calls)

Any links included will begin with yopp.fyi or direct you to westjordan.utah.gov.

Staying Connected

West Jordan is committed to keeping residents informed, safe, and connected. By updating your contact preferences, you're helping us make sure important information reaches you in the way that works best for your household.

Take a moment to update your information today-we'll take care of the rest!
