PULLMAN, Wash. - As demand grows for flexible, career-focused education that serves working professionals and military-affiliated learners, Washington State University Global Campus continues to earn national recognition for quality and access. In the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings, five WSU online programs were named among the best in the nation.
WSU Global Campus ranked 11th nationally for its undergraduate degrees in the Best Online Bachelor's Programs category. Offered through WSU's Carson College of Business, the online undergraduate business program ranked 15th, and the MBA program ranked 33rd in Best Online MBA Programs, while online graduate engineering programs from the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture ranked 38th in Best Online Master's in Engineering Programs.
"I'm not surprised to see Global Campus continue to excel in the national rankings," said Dave Cillay, WSU Global Campus chancellor. "These results reflect our long-standing commitment to serving students who need flexibility without compromising academic rigor-from first-year students beginning their academic journey to working professionals, adult learners, and military-affiliated students pursuing the next step in their careers."
WSU programs were also recognized among the nation's best for veterans. U.S. News & World Report ranks programs separately in this category to highlight institutions that support students transitioning from military service. These rankings emphasize affordability, access to veteran-specific resources, and the flexibility needed to accommodate service-related commitments.
WSU's online bachelor's degree programs ranked 8th nationally in Best Online Bachelor's Programs for Veterans. The online MBA ranked 25th in Best Online MBA Programs for Veterans, and online graduate engineering programs ranked 24th in Best Online Engineering Graduate Programs for Veterans.
Veteran and military-affiliated students represent a growing and significant part of the Global Campus community. Nearly one in ten Global Campus students are veterans or otherwise military-affiliated, reflecting sustained growth in enrollment and demand for programs designed to align with military experience, career goals, and life responsibilities.
"Our veteran students bring leadership, discipline, and real-world experience into every classroom," said Jadon Hawkins, veterans coordinator with WSU Global Campus. "Our role is to help them translate that experience into academic progress-by providing clear pathways, responsive advising, and the flexibility they need to succeed while balancing work, family, and service-related commitments."
WSU Global Campus offers 22 undergraduate and 13 graduate degrees across a wide range of disciplines, along with numerous minors and certificates designed to meet workforce and professional needs.
The online MBA is among WSU's most respected graduate programs, serving students across industries and career stages.
"Consistent national recognition affirms the Carson College of Business's commitment to access, student success, and academic excellence," said Debbie Compeau, dean of the Carson College of Business. "Our online MBA offers a high-quality, flexible business education that prepares students to advance professionally while making an immediate impact in their organizations."
WSU also offers several fully online master's programs in engineering fields, including engineering and technology management, electrical power engineering, and software engineering.
"WSU's Engineering and Technology Management program has been a leader in engineering management education for more than 40 years," said Partha Pande, dean of the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture. "Through fully online delivery, we continue to reach professional students around the world, offering rigorous technical and management training in an accessible, supportive learning environment."
