WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) today announced that Robert Stebbins will conclude his tenure at DFC as he has been nominated to serve as General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Treasury. Mr. Stebbins currently serves as DFC's General Counsel and Acting Chief Strategic Officer and was nominated by President Trump to serve as DFC's Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Bob is an exceptional lawyer and colleague who has played an essential role in delivering many of DFC's most consequential transactions. Mr. Stebbins was previously a partner at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, in the Corporate & Financial Services Department and Co-Chair of the firm's Corporate Governance practice. He was a leading transactional attorney, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital matters, investment funds, and capital markets transactions. From 2017 to 2021, Mr. Stebbins served as General Counsel of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
