Tiffin University's sports management program will host the fourth Annual Virtual Sport and Fitness Showcase, presented by the City of Fort Myers, in cooperation with TeamWork Online Friday, February 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
TU students and community members are encouraged to engage virtually with alumni and friends of the institution who are seasoned professionals in the world of health, fitness and athletics. This year's event will showcase two keynote speakers. Chanel Lattimer, Counsel for Intellectual Property at Major League Baseball and a current member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow nominated by the MLB, will share her insights. Joining her is Dr. Liston Bochette, a five-time Olympian, internationally acclaimed artist and dedicated civic leader. Co-founder of the Art of the Olympians Museum and a former member of the IOC athlete's commission and PanAm Olympian's Association, Bochette is currently serving as a Councilman for the City of Fort Myers.
Over 70 speakers will be featured in 16 breakout rooms, focusing on careers and hot topics in sports. Among the participants are Olympians, professional athletes and agents, sport and marketing experts representing Disney (ESPN), the NFL and MLB, as well as leaders from professional teams, marketing agencies, brands, college athletics and athletic facilities. TeamWork Online is assisting with marketing the program and handling registration through Eventbrite.
