The Purple and White finished tied for fourth as they shot +32 (896, 308-299-289). This marks the seventh time this year that Tarleton State has finished fourth or better dating back to the fall through eight tournaments thus far.
"I am very proud of Louise's victory," said head coach . "She has been a very consistent player all season and this victory is well overdue. She had a very steady and consistent tournament, and her scores are proof of that. I know this victory is just the first one of many more to come."
Depadt led the Texans as she took home the top prize shooting -5 (211, 70-71-70). Her first-place finish marks the first for Depadt during her career with the Purple and White.
" had a great round today, the best one of her spring season so far," continued Jimenez. "She has been working hard for this and I am very happy for her. She is finally seeing the fruits of her labor. It was a great team effort today as well, we were able to climb up a spot and were very close to another top-three finish."
Deltombe followed close behind Depadt once again as she finished sixth overall turning in a score of +3 (219, 76-75-68).
and both clinched top-30 finishes. Guzman shot +18 (234, 79-78-77) as she finished 26th followed by Fox who finished tied for 30th shooting +20 (236, 84-78-74). rounded things out for the Texans finishing just outside the top-30 shooting +21 (237, 83-75-79) as she ended the classic tied for 33rd.
The Texans now have a quick turnaround as they are set to return to action next Monday as they take part in the 2025 Veritex Bank Collegiate. The tournament will be hosted by the Mustangs of SMU. Action will get underway on Monday morning and will wrap up with the final 18 on Tuesday morning. The Veritex Bank Collegiate will be hosted at the Trinity Forest Golf Course in Dallas, Texas.
