Firearm and Drugs Recovered After a Search Warrant by the South Boston Drug Control Unit

At about 11:15 AM, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District C-6 (South Boston) arrested Tyrone Turner, 40, of Dorchester, on firearm and drug charges.

Officers were conducting an ongoing drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 70 Bowdoin Street. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered fifteen plastic bags of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia, a scale, drug packaging materials, a .22 Long Rifle, eight live .22 rounds of ammunition, a lower receiver to a Glock, and $272 in U.S. Currency.

Turner was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
