Rep. Anissa Jones Recognized by Alpha Kappa Alpha Incorporated for Leadership and Service

ATLANTA - State Representative Anissa Jones (D-Macon) was recently recognized by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated as an exceptional leader and Champion of Service, a recognition that seeks to honor members whose leadership, professional achievement and commitment to service exemplify the sorority's longstanding legacy of making a meaningful difference in communities around the world.

"I am deeply humbled and honored to be recognized as one of four Champions of Service from among the extraordinary women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated," said Rep. Jones. Rep. Jones was one of four members selected from across the international organization for this recognition, which seeks to highlight her commitment to servant leadership and her impact in business, healthcare, civic engagement and public service.

Representative Anissa Jones represents the citizens of District 143, which includes portions of Bibb and Houston counties. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Economic Development & Tourism, Interstate Cooperation and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
