San Salvador, November 12, 2025 - To strengthen institutional capacities and promote innovation in the microfinance sector, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), the German government, through KfW, and the European Union are providing non-reimbursable technical assistance to the Association of Microfinance Organizations (ASOMI) within the framework of the DINAMICA II Initiative.
The project "Transform ASOMI: From Vision to Collective Innovation" aims to empower ASOMI and its partner institutions to adopt innovative strategic and methodological approaches, enabling them to respond more effectively to the challenges of the Salvadoran entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The Technical Assistance will focus on three strategic areas that will transform the sector's service offering. First, it will promote financial innovation by creating products and services that respond to the current demands of entrepreneurs and MSMEs. Second, it will promote financial inclusion by expanding and diversifying financial services.
Finally, the project envisages capacity building through methodological transfer and strengthening the skills of technical personnel who provide support to entrepreneurs and MSMEs. These efforts will have a direct impact on local economic development and the sustainability of the Salvadoran business ecosystem, facilitating the growth and consolidation of MSMEs.
The DINAMICA II Initiative aims to enhance entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in Central America by promoting access to financial and non-financial services, thereby fostering the growth of micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises.
With this alliance, CABEI, KfW, and the European Union reaffirm their commitment to inclusive and sustainable development in the region, supporting projects that transform institutions, promote innovation, and generate opportunities for Salvadoran entrepreneurs.
