Motorsport graduate honours Scottish heritage with charity tartan

Connor Walker graduated with his BSc Motorsport Engineering earlier this week.

Connor, who has Scottish heritage, decided to wear a kilt for his graduation ceremony. He chose a Help for Heroes tartan, with every purchase contributing a donation to the veterans' charity, making the outfit both a celebration of his achievements and a way to support a cause close to his heart.

His distinctive attire stood out among the traditional graduation gowns and reflected his pride in his family heritage. Connor said wearing the tartan was a meaningful way to mark the occasion while recognising the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces community.

Celebrating alongside family, friends and fellow graduates, Connor described the day as a memorable milestone after years of hard work and dedication to his studies. As he looks ahead to the next stage of his career in the motorsport industry, the graduation ceremony was a fitting opportunity to honour both his academic success and his Scottish roots.
