Minister for Defence to Visit Kuala Lumpur for the 19th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference and Speak at the 8th Putrajaya Forum

Minister for Defence, Mr Chan Chun Sing will be in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 20 to 21 April 2026 to attend the 19th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference (DSA) and 8th Putrajaya Forum.

While in Kuala Lumpur, Mr Chan will attend the DSA opening ceremony and official dinner on 20 April 2026, and speak at the 8th Putrajaya Forum's first plenary session on "Harnessing Emerging Technologies for ASEAN Security" on 21 April 2026. Mr Chan will be receiving His Royal Highness, Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-Lah at the forum. Mr Chan will also meet with Malaysian Minister of Defence Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin and Minister of Foreign Affairs Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

This will be the first time that Mr Chan is attending the DSA and the Putrajaya Forum. First held in 1988, the DSA is a biennial exhibition that showcases defence products. The Putrajaya Forum is an international conference organised by the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security that brings together Defence Ministers, officials and academics to discuss regional and international defence and security issues.
