LMU's picturesque campus is more than a backdrop. It's the sum of countless pieces: the friendships that begin, the sunsets that linger, and the moments that shape who we are. Now, those pieces are coming together in a new way: LMU's first custom JIGGY puzzle, featuring artwork by LMU College of Communication and Fine Arts alumna Jane Tse '23, M.A. '26.
Art has always been a big part of Tse's LMU experience. As an undergraduate, she studied studio arts and Asian and Pacific Studies, and is now pursuing her master's degree in Marital and Family Therapy with a focus on art therapy. Her creative vision combined with her love of the bluff made her the picture-perfect artist to bring the JIGGY project to life, transforming Sacred Heart Chapel's iconic beauty into a work of art you can hold in your hands.
"Sacred Heart Chapel holds a very special place in my heart," Tse said. "As a freshman, I would pass it every day on my way to class or back to my dorm, and it also became a place I went to when needing reflection and a sense of grounding. The chapel has also been woven into so many moments during my time at LMU spent with friends and community."
Titled "The Pieces That Made Us," the 500-piece puzzle is a collaboration between LMU's Marketing, Communications, and External Relations team; Tse; and JIGGY Puzzles, a New York-based woman-founded brand that creates frame-worthy jigsaw puzzles designed by emerging women artists.
"We're thrilled to partner with JIGGY on this unique opportunity that celebrates LMU's beauty and creativity," said LMU Associate Director of Trademarks, Licensing, and Promotional Assets, Steph Teresi. "And showcasing Jane's artwork makes this collaboration even more special - it's a wonderful way to highlight the talent within our community while creating something meaningful and frame-worthy for Lions everywhere."
