TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 83 CLOSED in Bolivar for Pipe Work Jan. 16

When: 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday, January 16

Where: Missouri Route 83 in Polk County between Oakland Drive and Forest Street in Bolivar

What: MoDOT crews replacing pipe underneath the road

Traffic Impacts:

• All lanes of Route 83 CLOSED where crews are working
• Drivers will be able to access driveways and entrances on either side of the work zone, including Citizens Memorial Hospital, but will not be able to travel through the work zone
• Drivers urged to find alternate routes
• No signed detours planned
• Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
