ATLANTA - State Representative Lydia Glaize (D-Fairburn), along with former elementary school principal and First Lady of the House Mrs. Dayle Burns, will host a "Today's Readers are Tomorrow's Leaders" event on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at C.H. Gullatt Elementary School in Union City.
"I am excited to have Mrs. Dayle Burns, a leader in Georgia literacy initiatives, as she exemplifies her love for reading by sharing a read aloud event with our students in House District 67," said Rep. This event seeks to highlight the Georgia House's efforts to increase literacy rates for young students across the state, including House Bill 1193, the Georgia Early Literacy Act of 2026, which the House passed with bipartisan support during the 2026 legislative session.
