Community Invited to Experience Elevate Boulder Stories at Boulder Public Library Exhibition

The City of Boulder is partnering with Boulder Public Library to host a multimedia exhibition and two Civic Soup events, where community members can experience the power of guaranteed income as described by Elevate Boulder participants in their own words and images. The exhibitionwill be on display from Thursday, Feb. 5 through Monday, March 30, 2026, on the Arapahoe Ramp in the Main Library.

"Not only did Elevate Boulder help participants afford basic needs like food and rent, but also improve mental and physical health, advance employment and education, and get ahead financially," said Elizabeth Crowe, deputy director of Housing and Human Services. "The exhibit and community events will help our community better understand the project impacts in a fun, creative and engaging way."

Elevate Boulder, the city's guaranteed income project, provided direct cash assistance to 200 low-income community members in Boulder for two years in its pilot phase. This multimedia exhibition lifts up participants' experiences about what it's like to live in Boulder with low income and the transformative power of direct cash assistance.

In addition to the exhibition, community members are encouraged to attend our Civic Soup events to be hosted during the exhibition. Enjoy warm soup, family activities, and a panel presentation and discussion with Elevate Boulder project participants.
