COLUMBUS, OH - Following Sherrod Brown's victory in the Ohio Senate race, Ohio Democratic Party Chair Kathleen Clyde released the following statement:

"While Republican politicians and special interests spent hundreds of millions of dollars trying to defeat Sherrod Brown, Ohioans proved that they cannot be bought by electing a champion for working families. Ohioans know that Sherrod will take on a rigged system that puts corporations first while Ohioans foot the bill, and will lower costs for Ohio families at a time when Ohioans need urgent relief. There is no doubt that Sherrod Brown will be the relentless fighter that Ohioans deserve in the U.S. Senate, and the Ohio Democratic Party is proud to stand alongside him every step of the way."
