Portland Police Seek Public’s Help in Shooting Investigation

PPB is seeking the public's assistance on identifying and locating two suspects in connection with a shooting of a man in Old Town.

On August 1, 2026, at 9:38 p.m., two males were seen assaulting a male near the area of Northwest Davis Street between Northwest 6th Avenue and Northwest Broadway. The incident occurred near where a line queues up for a local nightclub in the area.

Another male in the area attempted to intervene in the altercation and was shot. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects left on a TriMet bus in the area of Southwest 3rd Avenue and Southwest Lincoln Street. The then boarded a MAX train and got off in the area of Southeast 12th Avenue and Southeast Clinton Street.

Detectives assigned to the Enhanced Community Safety Team have been unable to identify the suspects and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Suspects' description:

  • Male possibly late teens to early twenties
  • Clothing: Black hoodies with the hoods up
  • Both were lean and approximately 5'6" to 5'8"
