Repairs to Route 8 North in Waterbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcingroad repairs will be performed on Route 8 north just before I-84, Exit 30A in Waterbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, December 15 and be completed on Friday, December 19, 2025. This project ensures that Route 8 north remains in a state of good repair.
This project is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be left lane closure on Route 8 north December 15 to December 19, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns will be in place with State Police to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
