A woman is in custody following an assault on three employees of a restaurant in the 1100 block of Main Street. All three employees were treated on scene for minor injuries.
On the afternoon of October 18, 2025, at 3:48 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a call regarding a woman assaulting employees at the restaurant. She had been causing a disturbance and when asked to leave assaulted several staff, at one point using a key as a weapon. Several patrons stepped in to help staff until police arrived (no injuries).
At 3:56 p.m., North District General Patrol officers arrived and took her into custody.
Anika Janae ACOBY-DOWAN (24) has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Assault x 2. She was remanded into custody.
