Senate Introduces Companion to Rep. Cisneros’ SBA IT Modernization Reporting Act

Washington, DC - Senators Adam Schiff and John Curtis introduced the Senate companion to the bipartisan Small Business Administration IT Modernization Reporting Act of 2025, led by Reps. Gil Cisneros (CA-31) and Brian Jack (GA-03). The House unanimously passed the bill in December. This legislation will enhance the SBA's ability to develop, implement, and manage future IT modernization projects.

"The SBA has a duty to serve American small businesses efficiently and effectively," said Rep. Cisneros. "This bill will make critical upgrades to the agency's IT practices and ensure they can properly meet the needs of our hardworking entrepreneurs. I am thankful to Senators Schiff and Curtis for leading in the Senate on these critical improvements and I look forward to working with partners in Congress to advance this legislation."
