Rep. Jackson Secures TX-13 Wins in Agriculture Appropriations

WASHINGTON - Yesterday, President Trump signed the Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act into law, which includes three of Congressman Ronny Jackson's (TX-13) Community Project Funding requests. These projects will fortify TX-13 by improving emergency service infrastructure and providing vital tools to help our agriculture communities thrive.

"I'm proud to announce that three of my Community Funding Projects were included in the Fiscal Year 2026 Agriculture Appropriations Bill, providing critical resources that will strengthen Texas' 13th Congressional District for generations to come," said Rep. Ronny Jackson. "From major upgrades to the Canyon Fire Station, to the new West Texas A&M Feedlot Education and Training Facility, to a cutting-edge mobile desalination unit for our livestock producers, these investments will make a lasting impact across the Texas Panhandle."

City of Canyon Fire Station Rehabilitation:Secured $1,400,000 to make critical updates to the community's firehouse, including new sleeping quarters, a physical training space, new turnout gear storage space, an air tank filling station, command staff offices, and more.

West Texas A&M University Feedlot Educational Training Facility:Secured $1,000,000 in additional funding to construct and build an educational training facility designed to train personnel for feedlot and feed mill operations in the rural communities of the Texas High Plains and Panhandle.

West Texas A&M University Mobile Desalination Unit: Secured $2,000,000 to develop mobile desalination units and hydrological testing instrumentation for accessing and converting brackish water into usable water sources for farming and livestock operations.
