EUAM RCA contributed to a new capacity-building initiative on modern document management for the Ministry of Water, Forests, Hunting and Fishing - an essential step toward stronger institutional governance and improved preservation of environmental data. Building on the recent rehabilitation by EUAM RCA of the Ministry's library and documentation centre, this activity took place within an EU-funded biodiversity project led by B4Life. In partnership with the French company Mind&Go, fifteen participants from the Ministry, civil society and partner organisations received practical training in both physical archiving and digital records management. Training sessions were held at the Ministry and at EUAM RCA, which also provided equipment and facilities to support the learning process.
This initiative reflects EUAM RCA's ongoing commitment to reinforcing national ownership through strategic advice and institutional modernization. Reliable documentation systems are crucial for transparency, evidence-based decision-making and the long-term protection of natural resources. As part of the program, Mind&Go donated five laptops equipped with open-source tools, and a year-long follow-up cycle will guide the Ministry as it advances its digitization and archiving practices.
