Permit work requires lane/ramp closures near I-29 and Cookingham Dr., Oct. 6-Mid-Dec.

CLAY COUNTY - Permit work by the Ambassador Building Community Improvement District, for the construction of a roundabout and roadway intersection improvements, will require the following lane/ramp closures. All work is weather permitting.

Eastbound/westbound Cookingham Dr. left lane closures, Oct. 6-13

  • WB left lane closure from east of Ambassador Dr. to west of Prairie View Rd.
  • EB left lane closure from west of Prairie View Rd. to Ambassador Dr.
  • Right hand turn lane closed at SB Prairie View Rd. Motorists will still be able to turn right onto WB Cookingham Dr.

The following lane and ramp closures will be in place from Oct. 14 until Mid-December

  • Close ramp from northbound I-29 to EB I-435
  • Motorists will not be able to turn left from SB I-29 to EB Cookingham Dr.
  • Motorists will not be able to turn left from Prairie View Rd. to EB Cookingham Dr.
  • Traffic will be placed in ahead-to-head traffic configuration. Both EB/WB traffic will travel in the WB lanes from W of Prairie View Rd. to Ambassador Dr.

Motorist are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
