On a recent episode of Radio Andy's "The Julia Cunningham Show," Brody Jenner talked about how Spencer Pratt orchestrated his own character's villain arc on MTV's "Laguna Beach" spinoff "The Hills" (2006-2010) and made the show so successful.
Brody Jenner: And with "The Hills," he kind of came in and knew what he - he knew what he wanted to do before he got in there. He was like, "I wanna be this, I wanna be that." And he kind of created this villain character on "The Hills" and people, like, really hated him, you know. He did tell me, "I want to be the most hated person in the world." He told me that.
Julia Cunningham: Well, he knew that it's like, you know, sort of like the bell curve of, like, you want people talking about you, that's the way to do it.
Brody Jenner: Absolutely. I mean, his vision, I think, was part of the reason why that show did so well, because there was so much drama that was created, and he was such a good producer. He knew how to sort of produce, and he was on the show, but he was sort of secretly producing behind the scenes. So he's a brilliant guy, he really is, and I've always known. And it's nice to now see him get the sort of recognition that he deserves because he has - he's come so far as well, you know. He is such a great friend, father, you know. He's just - he really is a great guy.
