PeaceHealth Oregon names new chief executive

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - PeaceHealth has named Heather Wall, MSN, RN, the chief executive of the PeaceHealth Oregon region.

Wall, who served as the interim chief executive in the Oregon region for the last six months, will be responsible for leading services across the full continuum of care in the PeaceHealth Oregon region with a focus on delivering high-quality care, building strong connections and expanding services to meet community needs. The PeaceHealth Oregon region includes PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield, PeaceHealth Peace Harbor Medical Center in Florence and PeaceHealth Cottage Grove Community Medical Center plus clinics and specialty services.

Wall started her career as a neurology nurse at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center, University District. Prior to being named chief executive for the Oregon region, Wall served as the vice president of Patient Care Operations after being named chief nursing officer at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in 2018. Earlier in her career she was the clinical director for the Gamma Knife Center, nurse manager of orthopedics and neurology, director of nursing for medical/surgical services and senior director of nursing.

"Heather's strong focus on patient care, relationship-building ability, combination of compassion and accountability and unique dedication to Lane County and PeaceHealth made her the right person for the role," said Mark Korth, PeaceHealth chief transformation and operating officer.

An Oregon native, Wall earned her nursing degree at Lane Community College and a Master of Science in Nursing, Leadership and Management at Walden University.

"I am honored to serve our patients, caregivers and community in this new capacity, and I look forward to working together to address the current and future healthcare needs of Lane County and beyond," said Wall. "In the last 22 years, I have seen first-hand the collective excellence, passion and commitment of our talented teams. I am excited to continue to build our future together in the Oregon region."
