Join ACL's National Caregiver Support Collaborative (NCSC) for a webinar highlighting innovative practices to help organizations support family caregivers in navigating and accessing vital services and sustaining their well-being. NCSC offers resources and technical assistance to aging network organizations and key partners, including tribal and kinship caregiver support networks.

This webinar will highlight key insights from USAging, an NCSC grantee, and aging network providers on caregiver navigation across area agencies on aging, state units on aging, tribal partners, and community-based organizations. Attendees will learn about:

  • The caregiver navigation continuum to support the development of replicable models and foster a shared understanding across the aging network
  • Findings from USAging's environmental scan on caregiver navigation models used by aging network organizations nationwide
  • Caregiver navigation models from aging network organizations from across the country, which promote holistic support for caregivers, both in their caregiving role and in maintaining their own well-being

Featured speakers

  • Darya Rahbar, Program Manager of Caregiver Navigation Services, USAging
  • Zachary Trammel, Program Manager of Caregiver Navigation Services, USAging
  • Sheila Weaver, Program Manager, Idaho Caregiver Alliance Family Caregiver Navigator Project
  • Kristie Wiltgen, Chief Operating Officer, Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A)

Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in a live question-and-answer session to garner insights from USAging, Boise State University, and NEI3A about their experiences researching and promoting caregiver navigation models.

ASL and CART services will be provided. Registration is required. For questions, please contact [email protected]. To learn more about the NCSC and access additional resources, please visit the NCSC website.

Funded by the Older Americans Act (OAA), the National Caregiver Support Collaborative's primary goal is to achieve greater recognition, support, and inclusion of the family caregivers served by the Older Americans Act (OAA) National Family Caregiver Support Program (OAA Title III-E) and Native American Caregiver Support Program (OAA Title VI-C). The NCSC represents the first national-scale capacity building effort for these programs since 2000 and is designed to amplify and support their operational and programmatic needs through the delivery of technical assistance, collaboration, and coordination with others working to address shared goals.
