On May 5, 2026, University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) hosted servicemembers, veterans, spouses, caregivers, and their families at its annual MilVet Net event, a networking and resource fair.

MilVet Net connected attendees with services including a Veterans Affairs (VA) claims clinic, résumé writing workshop, and several Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs) and nonprofit organizations. Attendees also explored opportunities with potential employers.

Keynote speaker Dr. Keith "KC" Castille, CEO of C2H, LLC and U.S. Air Force veteran discussed interactive approaches to developing leadership and motivational skills, along with methods to build organizational culture.

"UMGC's annual MilVet Net event underscores our more than 75 year commitment to military and veteran learners and emphasizes the vital role we play in supporting them beyond their academic journey," said Keith Hauk, vice president of UMGC's Department of Stateside Military Operations. "By bringing together trusted partners and service providers, we help our learners access the tools they need to achieve their personal and professional aspirations."
