At the forefront of innovation: Dentons launches proprietary AI tool DAISY across Europe

May 12, 2025

Global law firm Dentons has launched DAISY, an internally developed AI tool which provides secure and adaptable generative AI capabilities to all Dentons' personnel across Europe and Central Asia. The first release of DAISY includes a secure AI chat interface --- including pre-defined smart tasks such as document summarization and drafting -- as well as a translation module and a browser of the firm's policies.

"The launch of DAISY is a milestone for our Firm. Not only will it help boost the productivity of both lawyers and business services professionals alike, but it will also help to strengthen Dentons' position as a leader in innovation," said Wendela Raas, Chief Executive Officer of Dentons Europe.

Developed internally by the Europe Innovation and Intelligence team in collaboration with the Technology team, DAISY was designed to be a cost-effective, scalable solution, which offers the flexibility to add new functionality quickly. In the coming weeks and months, more features will be added, such as web research, company profiles, news monitoring, opportunity intelligence, rapid prototyping, and custom RAG applications.

Břetislav Šimral, Europe Innovation and Intelligence Director at Dentons, commented, "DAISY is a model-agnostic, plug-and-play system that delivers diverse generative AI capabilities while ensuring a consistent user experience. The modular architecture allows us to choose the best LLMs for each workflow, easily integrate third-party tools, quickly adapt to new real-world use cases, and easily upgrade or connect DAISY to newer models as they emerge."

The launch of DAISY is the latest initiative of Dentons' wider AI strategy for Europe. The Firm recently announced plans to contribute its legal and innovation expertise into the training of Noxtua as Europe's sovereign legal AI, as well as its participation in JuriAIring, a non-profit research initiative to develop a benchmark to assess the effectiveness of legal AI tools across different areas of law.
