ARIZONA - Today, Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) visited the towns of Globe and Miami to survey the damage of historic flooding that killed three people in Arizona last week, hear directly from impacted residents and small business owners, and thank first responders and volunteers supporting recovery efforts.
Senator Gallego joined Globe Mayor Al Gameros, Vice Mayor Mike Stapleton, Councilman Mike Pastor, and other city officials for a briefing at City Hall before walking through flood damaged areas, including Broad Street, the area hardest hit by flash flooding.

Gallego met Liz and Annie Villalobos, third- and fourth-generation owners of La Casita Café, a local landmark that has served the Globe community for 78 years. The cafe sustained serious damage in last week's flood.
Gallego also thanked the first responders and volunteers working around the clock to keep families safe and help clean up the flood's damage.

Gallego also stopped in Miami, a nearby mining town, to tour flood damage and meet with local officials and small businesses owners impacted by the flooding.
