Snow Emergency Plan in Effect – Vehicles Must Be Removed from Emergency Routes

The City of Frederick reminds residents that the Snow Emergency Plan went into effect at 8:00 AM this morning. Residents were required to move all vehicles off designated Snow Emergency Routes by 10:00 AM today. Cars not immediately removed from snow emergency routes will be towed at the owner's expense.

To assist in keeping streets clear for snowplows and emergency services, vehicles on Snow Emergency Routes (listed below) that have not been removed will be towed immediately.

  • S. Market Street (Mt. Olivet Blvd to South Street)
  • South Street (S. Jefferson Street to Carroll Street)
  • S. Jefferson Street (Pearl Street to W. Patrick Street)
  • Butterfly Lane (Mt. Phillip Road to Himes Avenue)
  • W. Patrick Street (Market Street to S. Jefferson Street)
  • Bentz Street (W. 7th Street to W. South Street)
  • McCain Drive (Rt. 40 to Butterfly Lane)
  • Waverley Drive (Rt. 40 to Shookstown Road)
  • N. East Street (E. Patrick Street to N. Market Street)
  • 7th Street (N. East Street to Montclaire Avenue)
  • W. 7th Street (Taney Ave to Military Road)
  • Military Road (Rosemont Avenue to 7th Street)
  • Baughmans Lane (Rt. 40 to Rosemont Ave)
  • E. Patrick Street (Monroe Avenue to Market Street)
  • S. Market Street (South Street to Patrick Street)
  • Market Street (East Street to Rt. 26)
  • Waterside Drive (Monocacy Blvd to end of City Limits)
  • Mill Pond Road (Waterside Drive to Dead End)
  • Worman's Mill Road (Rt. 26 to Dead End)
  • N. Market Street (Patrick Street to East Street)
  • Dill Ave / Rosemont Ave (N. Bentz to Street Rt. 15)
  • Church Street (East Street to Monocacy Blvd)

As a reminder for residents, parking in all City garages is free to the public until 8 AM Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025.
