Flags Will Be Lowered for Former Legislator Mike Cooper

Mayor Lisa Brown has ordered flags at all City facilities to be lowered to half-staff to coincide with Governor Bob Ferguson's directive that state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities be lowered in remembrance of former Legislator Mike Cooper.
"Mike Cooper was a strong advocate for first responders and a firefighter himself," said Mayor Brown. "I encourage anyone with a flag outside of their home or business to join us in recognizing Mike and his life of service."
Flags will remain at half-staff until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 or first thing Monday morning, Sept. 28.
